...but it's not for who you think. We have been on full birthday countdown mode since the second day of school. It just so happens that Issa's teacher's birthday is also this week--tomorrow to be specific. Issa finds this thrilling.
She also wanted to make a gift for her teacher, so we spent a little time trolling Pinterest and voila:
We had everything but the brown paper bag and the peppermint patties that are inside. The two of us had a blast making it. Issa did all of the cutting aside from the feet, and we tag-teamed the gluing. If you attempt this little owl, I highly recommend gluing and then filling; it is a little tricky to get things to stick when the surface isn't flat and you're working with a glue stick. I think it will be a very happy birthday tomorrow morning for the teacher, and then only one more day until my baby girl turns 7!
