Happy Father's Day!

We had a fabulous weekend celebrating our favorite dad! Friday night, we started the weekend with make your own pizza and movie night! I think we are now doing make your own pizza night every Friday for the foreseeable future.

Saturday, Brad and I met Ryan and Emily for dinner and then went to DPAC to see Jesus Christ Superstar:
The production is definitely in my top ten if not top five!

Yesterday, though, was the big day! The boys still went to the dojo in the morning since Brad is testing for his black belt in just a few weeks. That gave Issa and I time to run to Mom's house to grab the gifts we had stashed there:

When we went to the Lego store in Chicago, Brad almost bought himself the bonsai tree kit. The kids remembered and ordered the kit for him:
We also got him a mini fridge for his office/man cave in the garage:
After the boys showered, we took Brad to brunch at the Colonial Inn:
It's a lovely model where you preorder, so when you are seated your meal arrives in less than ten minutes, and it was really good!

We went straight from brunch to the high school parking lot:

Issa finished the course work for driver's ed last week, and she does the driving portion this week. We didn't think the first time behind the wheel should be then! Brad is an amazing driving teacher:
I, however, got kicked out of the car for yelling, "BREAK!" She did really well, though, and is feeling confident for this week!

When we got home Brad and Issa ran to the store to stock the mini fridge, and we spent the rest of the day just relaxing together. Brad did build his bonsai:

It was a really lovely day celebrating our very favorite!
