My entomologist heart has been so happy this week. The cicadas have emerged! I was weeding the flower bed Saturday morning and spotted this guy:
And then I started looking around:
There were at least 18 in just that bed. All of our trees have been full this week, and I have loved watching them emerge and dry their wings. I have spent so much time talking with neighborhood kids showing them. It is so fun!
