Day 85: In Their Elements

I had very happy kids last night. They finished the last of their assignments for the year yesterday! We have a few last class meetings, but they are essentially finished.

For graduation, we invested in a computer for Evan. He really wants to learn game development this summer, and that requires more than a chromebook. Instead of just buying something, though, Brad bought parts. He and Evan started building it last night:

 Evan was so incredibly engaged. He is loving learning how computers work, and it's the most careful I've ever seen him be. He asked great questions, and Brad was over the moon to be doing this with him.

At the same time, Issa was in the kitchen:

She is just figuring out that she is perfectly capable of making anything she wants. She was so excited to make cookies just because they sounded good to her.

We are still working on figuring out what the summer schedule will look like, but I think we are ready for these new adventures this summer!
