We spent last week at Kure Beach, which was absolutely phenomenal, but it seems fitting that I highlight the best Daddy on the planet here today.
We came home Saturday, and all Brad wanted for Father's Day was a quiet day at home yesterday. Issa and I baked him his favorite bread for breakfast. The kids were very excited to give him their gifts, too. Evan was too fast and I didn't get any pictures, but he gave Brad the monster manual for D&D. The two of them have been playing a game weekly, and he was so excited to flip through the book with Brad and point out all of the monsters they might meet.
Issa went the more sentimental route with a poem on a mug:
These two:We spent the day watching a Marvel marathon. Issa and I made naan for dinner, and Brad grilled chicken to go inside the naan. We had brownie sundaes for dessert, and ended our day doing face masks and watching worst cooks.
It was a very quiet day, but it was exactly what he wanted. With as much as he does for us, it seemed the least we could do for him.
