Definitely Treats

Yesterday was a day full of treats! Miss Issa had the day off, and we had one of the most perfect days. It all started with a quest for boots for little miss. She had a birthday gift card, and she wanted boots in the worst way. She tried on a pair just like Aunt Shannon's, but they were deemed no good for running. Instead, she settled on this pair:
We actually have them in black and pink because they were on sale! She was thrilled! She then dutifully went in a million different dressing rooms with me on the quest for the perfect pair of black pants. They are allusive. Pants were either designed for 16 year olds or 60 year olds. I never did find a pair, but I had such shopping with her. She declared herself a fashionista, and she really does have an eye. She helped me find a couple other pairs of pants and two really cute dresses. It was one of those moments where she seemed so big, and I was so grateful for the one-on-one time--and the help finding some great clothes. And then...she invested the remainder of her gift card:

Yes, folks, that's a child size snuggy and she is thrilled. We also spent a few hours in Michael's stocking up for Christmas crafts and gifts. Truly a perfect girls' day!

And let's not forget Halloween! I believe you have met Thomas and Angelina Ballerina:

It was a cold, rainy afternoon, but just as trick-or-treat began, a fall evening in all her splendor appeared:

And the trick-or-treaters were off!

Please notice the five pumpkins on the steps. These two sat on the banister:

We embrace creativity around here.

Daddy headed out with Thomas and Angelina while I stayed back to pass out candy. (We had 275 little ones in an hour and ten minutes--new record.)

Three houses later, Thomas was back with me and Daddy and Angelina headed out to take on the block:

Look at that cute boy:

He loved the costumes from the safety of our porch...

"Boo!" I loved the company.

And the haul:

I'd say that was successful trick-or-treat.
