Preschool Graduation--With All the Pomp and Circumstance

Brace yourself...yesterday was a big celebration and the post is long enough to tell the whole story!

Yesterday was Issa's preschool graduation, and they really held a fabulous ceremony for the kids. It began with the graduates marching in wearing the class shirts they made...
They then sang three little songs and then announced what they wanted to be when they grew up. What did our little girl announce she wanted to be: a frisbee player.

After they sang, they processed out and then returned in caps and gowns to receive their diplomas. The Class of 2011:

We are one proud family!

Nana and Papa were there to share the day, too!

We surprised Issa with an Edible Arrangement, and she was thrilled! (And...it is almost gone.)

And no celebration is complete without a cake! Nana and Issa made this beauty!

Of course we sang, "Happy Graduation to You," and she blew out candles. Why not?

It was such a celebratory day, and we are so proud of her. I know it's just preschool, but she has been there since she was six weeks old. I still remember that first morning and how I cried when I left her. Now the tears are because she is leaving them.
